The digital era is here to stay. Every day, more people turn to digital and cashless methods to make payments and manage their savings. There’s a wide range of payment platforms available today and more currently in the development process. PayPal is one of the most popular services around, with Venmo, Zelle, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Cash App – just to name a few – as strong alternatives. In the crypto space, there are so many options with many more coming steadily into the market, like Binance or Coinbase.
Cash App is a mobile payment service only available in the US and the UK. This platform allows monetary transactions from one user to another by using a mobile app. The app supports Bitcoin and stock trading. It also recently extended its audience range by allowing teenagers from 13 to 17 years old on the app, but with a parent or guardian authorization and no access to the Bitcoin and stock trading sections until they turn 18.
Besides supporting Bitcoin and stocks, Cash App also offers a variety of services like the Cash Card, a banking service that allows transferring money from the app to a bank account. This service comes with a debit card, meaning that it can be used to pay at stores and withdraw money from an ATM. The debit card can be used for peer-to-peer money transfer in which users can send and request money to other accounts in the platform.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the need for online transactions has risen. However, the reliance on online services also increased the risk of getting scammed on any platform. That’s why, from a security point of view, Cash App applies both encryption and fraud detection technologies that, in case of detecting a suspicious fraudulent transaction, immediately cancel it. And to increase the user’s security on the app, Cash App has the option to ask for a password and SMS verification each time a transaction is made.
However, not everyone feels safe enough to give their phone number on the Internet, especially not on an app that involves money. Thankfully, there’s a way of bypassing the platform’s SMS verification process. This involves using virtual numbers, also called Non VoIP or temporary numbers, and you’ll learn how to use them in this guide.
Before you begin, it’s worth noting that this guide is only made for those in the US. If you happen to live elsewhere, you’ll need a residential proxy to change your IP address and access US websites. Also, this guide is made for Cash App’s desktop page.
Step 1: Go to the Cash App page
First, go to your browser and type “Cash App” on the search bar, the first result that shows should be the one.
Step 2: Sign Up
Once you’re on the page, you’ll see a “Log In” button on the top right corner, click on it.
You’ll be presented with a small form, asking you to enter your email or mobile number. This is where the fun begins because you can use a US virtual number.
Step 3: Getting a temporary number
Go to our page and sign in to your account, or sign up if you don’t have an account yet. You’ll see these buttons in the top right corner of the homepage to do just that.
Once you’re in, make sure to choose “United States” in the “Select Country” tab.
Go to the “Services” tab, then click on “Short-term number”. Keep in mind that these numbers can only be used once.
Search for “CashApp” on the search bar, and click on “Purchase”.
After that, you should see a small window asking you to confirm your purchase and agree to discount the amount of the Non VoIP number off your balance, click on “Next” once you’ve done that.
Now you can see the number displayed on the screen, copy and paste it into the previous Cash App’s page. Don’t close this tab yet.
Step 4: Wrapping up the registration process
After inserting the number on the blank space and hitting next, Cash App will send you a code to confirm the phone number.
Go back to our page and click on ‘‘Next’’ to get the code.
Type that code on Cash App’s page and hit “Sign in”, and that’s it! You’ll now be asked to provide your banking information. you can choose to skip this part.
Then, type in your last name and hit “Save”.
Enter your $Cashtag, that’ll be your username while on the app.
To finish it up, enter your ZIP code.
And you’re done! you are now able to make transactions from their app.
If you wish to access Cash App on mobile, download the app on the Apple Store or the Google Play Store and follow the same steps from this guide.
This process is super easy and allows you to bypass the SMS verification process without giving away your phone number. Go ahead and keep your data safe using our virtual numbers for Cash App.
